Michigan's healthcare system is anchored by two world-class academic medical centers and a network of regional hospitals serving a diverse population of approximately 10 million residents. The University of Michigan Health System (Michigan Medicine) in Ann Arbor is consistently ranked among the top hospitals in the nation and is a major center for cancer care, cardiac surgery, neurology, and pediatrics. Henry Ford Health System in Detroit is one of the largest integrated health systems in the country, operating Henry Ford Hospital — a Level I Trauma Center and major academic medical center.
